I’m reaching out as a wife, a mother, and someone who loves this man deeply, to ask for your help. CC needs a kidney. He has O-positive blood type, and we are currently searching for a living donor.
Our insurance will cover the full cost of the donor evaluation, which is truly the most comprehensive health screening you could receive. I went through the process myself, but unfortunately, I’m not a match.
Here’s a little bit about how we got to this point:
In 2018, CC was diagnosed with high blood pressure, the result of working long, demanding shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing role. Second and third shifts, back-to-back overtime, all of it, he took on without complaint. He’s always been that kind of person: the one who shows up, works hard, and never puts himself first.
Even with all that pressure, CC made it a priority to be fully present for me and our two daughters. He was, and still is, our rock.
Despite his demanding schedule, CC stayed active and healthy for many years. He ran regularly, 3 miles a day, 3 days a week, did CrossFit, and took care of himself. However, stress from a high demanding job working 2nd and third shift led to high blood pressure which eventually took a toll on his kidneys. Then in 2021, he had a mild case of COVID, and that was the tipping point. His kidneys began to fail.
